Summer Break & Father's Day

Summer's here! Finally! Luke finished up his kindergarten year on Tuesday and had the rest of the week off. Thursday, I took off with them and kept Charlie home and Hannah our neighbor and we all went to the Nature Center! We had a pretty good morning hanging out and a pizza lunch. It's nice having neighbors so close by so that they can get some energy out together.

Today we celebrated Father's Day by taking a hike out at Dupont Forest near Brevard. Dillon's been here about 15 years and I've been here 12 and this was the first time that we've been out there. It was really neat and we made it to one set of waterfalls and halfway to the other set, but the kids got tired so we turned around. On our next visit we'll visit both.

We've got lots of things coming up and this time next week we'll be at the beach! I'm ready for a little vaca, even if our house looks a mess. I'm plum wore out after today, but it should be a good week!

We found this moth under our deck transforming from a caterpillar to a moth. It was crazy!
