Richmond Thanksgiving

We just got back from a great weekend in Richmond with Dillon's family. A few weeks ago, Dillon and I were talking about how his sister and her family wouldn't be able to come home because their little baby is still being cared for in the NICU. I asked if he thought his family would want to take Thanksgiving to them since they couldn't come down and we asked everyone and it was decided that's what we would do!

We found a nice, big house in Richmond about 5 minutes from their home and rented it... Then we started planning the menu! It was great all being together and spending time with each other. A few weeks ago we thought that Bodhi might be able to be home with us by this weekend, but he faced a few setbacks so he'll be there a few more weeks. Even though we missed him, we were all still glad to be together in the same town and we took turns going to visit him at the hospital. He has grown SO much and is even holding his head up on his own now and laughing and smiling all the time. To have faced so many things, he's such a happy baby. We're all anticipating his return home and are hoping to break him free by Christmas!

The house we stayed in was really nice and close to things to do. We spent Sunday morning walking around Hollywood cemetery which is beautiful. It was so peaceful and interesting because of all the history and the weather was perfection. It was a really nice weekend and although I'm completely exhausted today and we have to go back to work first thing in the morning, we all agree it was completely worth it! This year we are thankful for family.

Dillon's grandma is moving into a nursing home and they are cleaning her house. She wanted us to have a large clock she had in her home so Dillon's dad brought it down a few days ago. Charlie is definitely his girl and has him wrapped around her finger.

Charlie and Luke had croup last weekend and then subsequently passed it along to Indie. Hence why we all had to wear masks/gloves/robes.
