Luke's First Halloween

Luke's had many milestones, but I feel like this holiday is the first "real" holiday he's experienced. What fun it is to be a child and go trick or treating. I know that he'll never remember this Halloween, but it's been so much fun for us to experience it through him. I actually told Dillon that we should have had a baby sooner because it's been so great to experience holidays with a child.

The baby's had somewhat of a rough week, he's teething and grumpy with a stuffy nose and he's a little clingy. We've gotten minimal sleep and I'm hoping to have my happy baby back soon. We've also had some issues with our house and neighbors so the week hasn't been the best. I'm hoping things start looking up soon.

Today Luke got to show off his costume at Dillon's office and my office and went "trunk or treating" at a church nearby. Our church participated so Dillon and I got to hand out candy to hundreds of children. We totally underestimated the amount of candy we would need, thankfully the church and Rick & Suzanne came fully prepared. Next year, we'll have a better understanding of what to do (like have a theme for our decorations, not just the 1/2 off bargains from Walmart on Halloween!)

We are so tired this evening and Dillon has to be up at 4:30 tomorrow morning. I hope everyone has had a wonderful Halloween and is going to bed with a tummy full of chocolate!

I meant to post this last week... Luke sat in the buggy this week for the first time!

Our pumpkins before some butt-munch decided to trash them on the front porch. It was nice while it lasted (one whole night.)

Halloween Take 2... Pumpkin Patch!

Ok,ok, I know... two posts in two days, but I have SO many awesome photos from this weekend. Fall is the perfect backdrop for precious baby photos. Add in fun times with friends and you've got the perfect backdrop!

This morning we attended church and Luke just wasn't having it. Someone told Dillon that Luke was being fussy in the nursery and he said as soon as he left the sanctuary he could hear the baby screaming downstairs, and the door to the nursery was CLOSED. Ugh. So, Dill spent the entire service trying to calm Luke down. I think he may be going through the faze where he is very attached to us. He cried once when I left him at daycare this week, so I hope it passes quickly. I'm also hoping this is a sign that those teeth are finally breaking through.

After church we met the Wyatt's for lunch and headed out to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. Our babies had such a good time even though they were both tired. We now have pumpkins to carve for Thursday! I'll let our pictures tell the rest of the story.

We're gearing up for another busy week, but hopefully we'll get more time together. Here's hoping everyone has a great week!
