Halloween Take 1

I'm sure there's going to be a few posts about Luke's first Halloween. Today we've had a great day finally with no work to be seen.

This morning we drove down to Lake Lure to have lunch and run around a bit. We were going to go to Chimney Rock but the price of admittance was a little steep. So we drove back towards Asheville and rested up for the evening.

The Wyatts joined us for dinner and then we all headed down to a Fall Festival in Black Mountain. There were lots of ghosts and goblins running around as well as a fun hayride on a tractor! Dara and Luke had fun riding behind the tractor and we spent some of the evening watching Monster Inc. on the big screen.

Tomorrow we'll be heading out to a pumpkin patch to pick out our perfect carving pumpkins. And we just remembered the best part of pumpkin carving... toasted seeds!

What a perfect fall weekend!

On daddy's shoulders!

Luke's easier to use costume as a fox... his shark costume doesn't really do well in a car seat so we'll save it for actual Halloween.
