We have busy weeks coming up! This weekend was our last weekend at home for a few weeks. Next weekend we'll travel to Virginia to celebrate our new niece that's to be born in August and of course Dillon's sister and brother-in-law! We're so excited to see everyone! And then the following weekend, we're packing up for a long weekend at the beach with our friends, the Creggers. We're excited for both trips, but it's a lot of work! We haven't been out of town overnight with both kids yet, which is strange because with Luke we were heading out for overnight adventures at his one month mark. It's a lot of stuff to pack and prepare for so we'll see how it goes. Not to mention, I've been called up for jury duty on Thursday so it takes away one of my free days to prepare.
This weekend was fairly easy going. Yesterday morning we ran some errands and this morning we spent some time at the pool. Dillon is at urgent care right now because he was cutting up a cucumber for dinner and almost sliced the tip of his pinky finger off. He tried to play it off and we wrapped it with bandages, but in the end I convinced him to go to urgent care because I felt he needed stitches. Luke's watching a cool dinosaur show and if he can stay up for a few more minutes we're going to watch fireflies for the first time.
I'm glad it's summer. I love spending time with our little family. I only wish we had more time together.
