Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of our friends and family!

We've had a great Christmas that has extended almost the whole month of December and culminated today. I took off work this week to accomplish all that needed to be done. I've been in the kitchen since Saturday and have finally gotten a moment to sit down for a bit.

Yesterday, Dillon was able to come home early so we got to spend most of Christmas Eve together. I fixed some snacky foods for yesterday evening as we were going to church at 6:30. We all got ready (including a bath for the baby!) by 6:00 and headed over to the church. The service was absolutely beautiful with Christmas songs sung by candlelight and a reminder of why we celebrate the season. They didn't offer nursery services last night so I was a little nervous that Luke would be fidgety. He's not like he was at 3 weeks old and would fall asleep in his moby wrap. Now, he's into everything. He stayed awake just long enough to go up for the children's message and then slept the rest of the time! I was so impressed!

We came home yesterday evening and opened up our Christmas pajamas and the Wyatt's came over to spend some time together and eat lots of food. We had a great visit and the kids stayed up late playing. They enjoyed driving Luke's little play car and Dara had her eye out for the dogs! :)

This morning we woke up and opened presents and my mom and dad arrived around 10:00. I think Luke's had about 5 present opening sessions. For an 8 month old, he sure has lots of stuff! We enjoyed time with my mom and dad and are now just trying to recuperate from it all. Our living room looks like a bomb went off!

It's been a very special Christmas with little Luke. He's not terribly aware of what's happening and going on, but he's really enjoyed ripping paper.

We've missed being with our extended family today and hope that everyone has had a wonderful Christmas.

Christmas morning!

Luke decided to start pulling up yesterday. I'm afraid he'll start walking before he's really good at crawling.

One Direction was playing on the tv yesterday. Luke begged us to cover up his ears so he didn't have to listen!
