Virginia Birthday & Christmas

We've had a good weekend in Virginia spending time with family. Charlie's first birthday was on Friday and I stayed home with her and Luke. We fixed pancakes for breakfast, had lunch out with my mom and dad and then went out for a pizza dinner and to see the lights at Lake Julian. All in all, a pretty good way to spend your first birthday!

Saturday morning we traveled up to Virginia to have birthday AND Christmas celebrations. Saturday afternoon we celebrated Charlie and this morning we did Christmas. We had a great time and enjoyed just being able to all be together. Honestly, there's so much that happened, I can't even remember to write it all down. I guess the pictures can tell the stories!

This week is a crazy one as well. Work is busy with delivering holiday gifts, Christmas parties and getting end of year things wrapped up, Charlotte has her one year check up, Luke has a Christmas party at school, we want to see Star Wars, Dillon's work has a Christmas party, we have Christmas Eve Eve service at church, I have to get groceries for Christmas, Christmas Eve with friends, Christmas Eve with family and Christmas day itself. Shew. I may just be a *tad* bit relieved when Christmas is finally over. I'm feeling a bit stretched thin, but I will say, it's a good time of year and we're enjoying our time together as a family.

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals. :-)

At Luke's Christmas program. Luke sang songs with his preschool class and his school provided us with lunch. It was a good day.

Making cupcakes with Aunt Kenz and Grammy

Indie says "You serious, Clark?"

Her face when the cupcake was done. Ha!

Terry and Luke give a thumbs up!

Luke made grammy get up at 5:30 this morning. He couldn't wait to open his gift so he ripped into it before we could stop him. Here he is with Mr. Dusty the trash truck. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are going to be rough.

Luke gives Russ his Chuck Taylors just like his.

This is the face of someone who likes to headbutt their mom at 3 AM. HA!

Soooo, I wanted to take some portraits of the kids together. Ever wonder how many outtakes you have to do? A lot. Especially when one is a non-compliant one year old.

This is what it was really like...

And these are my edited versions! HAHA

One of the sweetest and calmest babies I know. Just look at her baby blue eyes.

Cousins!

Anndd.. about the best I could do. :D
