Time is moving so quickly right now. We have about 7 weeks until the baby makes her debut and as I suspected, October through November are full. I'll be glad to see the holidays this year as I'm hoping to put my feet up for a few weeks before the baby arrives (she'll probably be early, ha!)
Last week, I had to work on Saturday morning, but when I returned home we pulled out our pumpkins and carved them up. I promised Luke a Lightning McQueen pumpkin so in the time that it took me to carve that out, Dillon carved up the other three (mine, his and the baby's). Unfortunately, our pumpkins are already soft, but it makes them look more Halloweenie.
Then, at the beginning of the week, my Uncle Charles and Aunt Jerri came up to visit with my mom and dad. We had some really good meals prepared by my mom and enjoyed time catching up with them. I think they all had a great time with some running around, visiting the Billy Graham conference center. We were sad to see them go on Wednesday.
This weekend was fairly slow for us. We did the usual errands and then this evening we went to the Fall Festival at a church we've gone to. They had all kinds of games and prizes and inflatables. Luke had such a great time and we got to see our good friends the Creggers & the Feavers. Their little girls were dressed up like a duck and a cat and were excited to be there!
Tomorrow night we may see if there's some trick or treating in my mom and dad's neighborhood. Other than that we'll take it easy. My feet hurt when walking so much, ha!
We're doing well and I think that we're pretty much ready for Charlotte to come! I have 7 weeks from Tuesday until my induction date, that is if she stays until then. I feel like I'm running out of room and I'm fairly tired of hearing how huge I am. I'm trying to enjoy "the glow" of pregnancy as it will more than likely be my last, but it's getting difficult to do. I know I'll be sad when it's over, feeling her little punches and rolls, but I'm ready to have her here.
Next up is the 5K I've been working on since January, a trip to Virginia, a baby shower and Thanksgiving. Then we're into December which is always busy in and of itself. I know a baby will make things super busy, but I'm looking forward to some "downtime" in January when it won't be as busy and we can stay indoors getting to know our new family member.
