A Virginia Weekend

Friday, Dillon's daddy had a minor surgery where he had a pacemaker put in. They called on Thursday and asked if he could come in earlier on Friday so we headed up early Friday morning only to wait all day for him to have his surgery. You know how hospital stays goes... you wait and wait and wait. But finally he had his surgery and they rolled him right on up to a room. Thankfully, he only had to stay one night and then he was released to come home. He's doing well with some minor swelling and a little bit of pain. Hopefully, the pacemaker will help him feel even better.  We got to spend some good time with Dillon's family and the weather was perfect.

Everyone did fairly well. Our schedules were off so Charlie has fallen asleep tonight at 6:30 and Luke was a handful this weekend! Ha!  We're all a little run down, glad to be home, but missing our family.

Dillon did get some exciting news this week, though. One of his instructors from AB Tech emailed him randomly this week and asked if he would be willing to teach a civil engineering course on Monday evenings this coming fall. He jumped at the chance and is excited (and nervous) to get started. He's making lesson plans and a syllabus. We'll see how this goes, but we're all very excited for him!

Sorry for the short blog, but I am pretty tired! Hopefully I'll feel up to writing more soon!

Blueberries!

Restin' up!
